Finosin Tablets contain finasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor used in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Finasteride works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to prostate enlargement. Over time, lowering DHT levels can reduce prostate size and improve urinary flow.
Regular treatment with finasteride helps relieve symptoms associated with BPH, including difficulty starting urination, weak urine stream, frequent urination, and the sensation of incomplete bladder emptying. Clinical benefit may take several months to become fully apparent, so treatment should be continued as prescribed.
