Angilock works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. This allows blood vessels to relax and widen, lowering blood pressure and reducing the workload on the heart. Losartan may also provide kidney protection in certain patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

How to Take
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Angilock can generally be taken with or without food.
Try to take it at the same time each day and swallow the tablet whole with water.
Do not stop treatment simply because your blood pressure has improved.
Precautions
- Do not use during pregnancy, particularly after the first trimester; medicines affecting the renin-angiotensin system can cause serious fetal harm.
- Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems.
- Potassium levels and kidney function may need monitoring during treatment.
- Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes unless advised by your healthcare provider.
- Tell your doctor about other medicines you take, particularly other blood-pressure medicines, diuretics, NSAIDs, or potassium-raising medicines.
- Seek medical attention if you develop severe dizziness, swelling of the face/lips/tongue, or difficulty breathing.
