KSh 900.00

Zupricin B ointment 15g is a prescription topical antibacterial and corticosteroid preparation containing mupirocin 2% and betamethasone 0.05%, used for selected bacterial skin infections accompanied by inflammation.

Category:

Zupricin B Ointment is a topical medicine used for certain bacterial skin conditions where infection is accompanied by redness, swelling or itching. The antibacterial component, mupirocin, works by inhibiting bacterial protein production, helping to control susceptible bacterial infections. The corticosteroid component, betamethasone, helps reduce inflammation, redness and itching.

It may be prescribed for selected infected inflammatory skin conditions, such as infected dermatitis or other localized bacterial skin infections. It is not suitable for every rash, wound or skin irritation and should not be used routinely without a proper diagnosis.

Because topical corticosteroids can mask or worsen some infections, particularly fungal infections, Zupricin B should be used for the shortest duration recommended by the prescriber.

Key Benefits

  • Helps treat selected bacterial skin infections.
  • Reduces redness, swelling and itching associated with inflammation.
  • Combines antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action.
  • Convenient topical ointment formulation.

  • Stop use and seek medical advice if the infection worsens, spreads or fails to improve.
