Indications of Methotrexate 50mg Injection:
Cancer treatment, including:
- Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)
- Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- Osteosarcoma
- Breast, lung, head and neck cancers
- Other solid tumors as per oncology protocols

Supportive therapy in autoimmune diseases (at different dosing schedules), such as severe psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis, when oral forms are not suitable
Administration of Methotrexate 50mg Injection:
- Given as an intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection under strict medical supervision
- Dosage depends on the type of cancer, treatment regimen, and patient body surface area
- In high-dose methotrexate therapy, Leucovorin (Folinic acid) rescue is required to protect healthy cells
- Adequate hydration and urine alkalinization may be necessary to reduce toxicity
Safety Information:
- Contraindicated in pregnancy, breastfeeding, severe liver or kidney disease, and pre-existing bone marrow suppression
- Common side effects: nausea, vomiting, mouth sores, fatigue, low blood counts, hair loss
- Serious risks: severe bone marrow suppression, liver toxicity, kidney failure, lung inflammation, gastrointestinal ulceration
- Requires regular monitoring of blood counts, liver and kidney function
- Can interact with several medicines (e.g., NSAIDs, antibiotics, and other cytotoxic drugs)
- Effective contraception must be used during and after treatment
