Antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections with some working by killing the bacteria and others by hindering the growth of the bacteria thus giving the body a chance to clear the bacterial infection.
Important information when deciding which antibiotic your doctor prescribes includes which bacteria you are infected by, history of allergic reactions to specific antibiotics, where one is breast feeding or pregnant, drug-drug interaction between other medications one is taking among other things.
Taking the “the strongest” antibiotics is not always the best idea.
