Advant 8mg Tablets contain candesartan cilexetil, an ARB that lowers blood pressure by blocking the action of angiotensin II, allowing blood vessels to relax and widen. This reduces the workload on the heart and improves blood flow.
Candesartan is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and for the management of heart failure with reduced left ventricular systolic function when clinically appropriate. Effective blood pressure control helps reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney disease.
Treatment should be individualised according to the patient’s clinical response, with regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function.
