Casodex(bicalutamide) 150mg Tabs 28’s

Indications:

• Used in the treatment of prostate cancer, especially in patients with localized or locally advanced disease.
• May be given as monotherapy (on its own) or in combination with other treatments depending on the oncologist’s advice.

Administration:

• The usual dose is one tablet (150mg) once daily, swallowed whole with water.
• Can be taken with or without food, but should be taken at the same time each day.
• Treatment is often long-term, as prescribed by your oncologist.

Safety Information:

• Do not use if you are allergic to bicalutamide or any of the ingredients.
• Not suitable for women or children.
• Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, heart problems, diabetes, or are taking anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin).
• Common side effects: hot flushes, breast swelling or tenderness, reduced libido, tiredness, constipation, and nausea.
• Less common but serious side effects: liver dysfunction (yellowing of skin/eyes), shortness of breath, chest pain, or severe skin reactions.
• Routine blood tests (especially liver function tests) are required during treatment.
