Diuride 10mg tablets contain torasemide, a potent loop diuretic that increases urine production by acting on the kidneys to remove excess salt and water from the body. This helps relieve swelling (oedema) and reduces the workload on the heart.
Diuride is commonly prescribed for oedema associated with congestive heart failure, renal disease, hepatic disease, or pulmonary conditions. In some patients, it may also be used as part of hypertension management.
