- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA): A serious condition involving high levels of ketones in the blood, which can occur even with normal blood sugar levels.
- Fournier’s Gangrene: A rare but severe and rapidly progressing infection near the genital area.
- Severe Joint Pain or Blistering Skin Conditions (e.g., bullous pemphigoid).
Specific Usage Warnings:
- Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar): Risk increases significantly if Empiget LT is taken alongside insulin or sulphonylureas.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Avoid during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary, and it is not recommended while breastfeeding.
- Elderly Patients: Use with caution in adults over 75, as the risk of dehydration may be higher.
