Esomac 20 mg tablet works by blocking the proton pumps responsible for acid production in the stomach.
It provides effective treatment for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and is also used in combination therapy to eradicate Helicobacter pylori.
Esomeprazole may additionally help prevent ulcers associated with long-term NSAID use in patients at increased risk.
