Esome 20 mg tablets contain esomeprazole, a medicine that effectively suppresses gastric acid production by inhibiting the proton pumps in the stomach lining.
It is commonly prescribed for gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and in combination with antibiotics for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori.
It may also be used to prevent NSAID-associated gastric ulcers in high-risk patients.
