Esopride 20/150mg combines esomeprazole 20mg and itopride hydrochloride 150mg in a sustained-release formulation.
Esomeprazole reduces stomach acid production by blocking the proton pumps responsible for acid secretion. Itopride hydrochloride improves gastrointestinal movement and helps the stomach empty more efficiently, which may reduce symptoms such as post-meal fullness, bloating, nausea and upper abdominal discomfort.
The combination may be prescribed for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid-related indigestion and symptoms associated with delayed gastric emptying.
