Gaviscon Infant Sachets contain Sodium Alginate 225 mg and Magnesium Alginate 87.5 mg per sachet.
The alginate ingredients form a soft gel in the stomach, thickening the stomach contents and making them less likely to flow back into the oesophagus.
It is indicated for the management of infant reflux where the lower oesophageal sphincter is not yet fully developed.
The powder is mixed with water or infant feed immediately before administration and should be used according to a healthcare professional’s advice, particularly in infants under one year of age.
