GIT-Plus combines a proton pump inhibitor with a gastrointestinal prokinetic agent. Rabeprazole sodium reduces stomach acid production by inhibiting the proton pumps responsible for acid secretion. Itopride hydrochloride improves gastrointestinal motility and supports more efficient stomach emptying.
The combination is used in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid-related digestive symptoms and peptic ulcer disease. It may also help relieve symptoms such as heartburn, abdominal discomfort, bloating, nausea and early fullness when these are associated with impaired gastrointestinal motility.
