Glifempa-Lin combines empagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, with linagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor.
Empagliflozin lowers blood glucose by increasing urinary glucose excretion, while linagliptin enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppresses glucagon release.
Together, these complementary actions improve glycaemic control with a low risk of hypoglycaemia when used without insulin or sulfonylureas.
