Movicol Paediatric 6.9g Sachets contain macrogol 3350 and electrolytes. This osmotic laxative is used to treat constipation in children by drawing water into the bowel, softening stools and making bowel movements easier.
Macrogol 3350 retains water in the bowel, helping to soften hard stools and facilitate bowel movements. The added electrolytes help maintain the electrolyte balance of the solution.
Movicol Paediatric is indicated for chronic constipation in children within the age range specified in the product leaflet. Under medical supervision, it may also be used to treat faecal impaction in children aged five years and older.
Treatment of faecal impaction requires a specific dosage regimen and confirmation of the diagnosis by a healthcare professional.
