Pan 40mg tablets suppresses gastric acid production by blocking the proton pump in the stomach lining. It is used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive oesophagitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid.
It may also be prescribed as part of Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy in combination with antibiotics.
